Northern Ireland's Omagh Project
- Ready for Gold
Galantas
Gold is now
in
production
while
continuing
to deliver
high-grade
gold
intercepts
in ongoing
drill
program.
Galantas
Gold's (TSX-V
& AIM: GAL;
OTCQX: GALKF)
Omagh
Project is
now
officially
the only
active gold
mine in
Ireland. The
company
recently
kicked off
production
with
longhole
drilling and
blasting of
the first
stopes as
part of its
dual pronged
strategy to
pursue
staged
expansions
of
production
while
growing its
resource
base.
We'd like to
remind our
readers that
the Omagh
Project sits
on prime
exploration
ground.
It is in
close
proximity to
Dalradian's
Curraghinalt
gold deposit
- a
world-class
asset that
was acquired
by Orion
Mine Finance
in 2018 for
$407 million
at a 60%
premium when
gold was
trading at
approximately
$1,270 per
ounce (gold
is currently
at approx.
$1,750 per
ounce).
Dalradian is
currently
undergoing
its
permitting
process
while Omagh
is already
permitted
for
production.
Omagh is in
a major gold
district
that hasn't
really seen
a
significant
amount of
exploration
outside of
work done by
Dalradian.
This gold
district
lies on a
major fault
system that
has been
shown to
host large
gold
deposits:

Earlier this
month,
Galantas
announced
the seventh
set of drill
results from
its ongoing
4,000-metre
program,
including a
hole that
intersected
31.8 grams
per tonne
gold and
39.2 grams
per tonne
silver over
4.4 metres.
The results
underscore
the
high-grade
potential of
the deposit
and the
predictability
in
identifying
high-grade
dilation
zones, which
have
potential
for higher
widths of
mineralization.

According to
Galantas, it
is reviewing
its mine
plan and
production
guidance for
the next 16
months
including
the timing
to advance
development
to the
higher grade
Joshua Vein
to provide
multiple
mine
headings as
well as
underground
drill
platforms to
extend the
mineralization
to depth and
test new
targets.
The company
counts top
mining
investors
Mike
Gentile,
Eric Sprott
and Lawrence
Lepard as
shareholders.
