    The June 2011 Morgan Report Has Been Posted

    This June issue of The Morgan Report revolved around the recent price action in the silver market. Thanks to one of our members we found some data that brings into question how much of an impact the SLV had during the recent downturn. Further we examined many of the key points of both the main silver studies, one from CPM Group, and the other produced by GFMS for the Silver Institute. Silver production, demand, recycling, future use, supply issues, and several other facts regarding the silver market. These two studies generally confirm each others general conclusions and that was the case for the year ended 2010.
     
    For mining investors we had an update on one of our selections that we think represents a good opportunity at the current level. A brand new speculation in an area famous for silver elephant type projects, and a company that we put on the watch list that is also in an area (not Mexico) that has some of the richest silver mines on the planet.

    Morgan’s Thoughts on Silver

    It is almost amusing to see how many people are writing and extolling the virtues of silver investing now. What a contrast to the early 2000s, when almost no one wrote about silver, save Butler, Sanders, and me. Jason Hommel came on board very early as well.
