    There is much to cover this month as always, yet it seems more and more news involving the precious metals and silver in particular is accelerating. One of the largest items was an article in The Financial Times, purporting that the CFTC investigation into the silver market manipulation was going to die on the vine. Shortly after that, Bart Chilton, commissioner of the CFTC, stated the FT article was premature and factually incorrect. As much as we could give our viewpoint, we will leave our readership to gather further information on your own, as this topic can stir the passions yet we prefer to adopt a wait-and-see attitude.

    Your publisher has been interviewed on the topic two or three times and we do send these to our membership. Bottom line in our view is, not much will take place once the CFTC does make a formal announcement. We would like to be surprised, but in our view some position limits may be imposed that could “look” like something was being done when in fact loopholes still exist for the bullion banks.
