The last year and a half has been a doozie.
The polarization crystallized, the
censorship reached alarming levels, the division got
worse and our ability to correspond with people outside
of our immediate sphere of influence became increasingly
more difficult.
Social media has all but destroyed our ability to
communicate effectively. Even with all of the
"advancements" in technology and telephones in our
pockets, we've arrived at a very sad place; where
opinions are weaponized and an opposing viewpoint can
get someone ostracized.
So many of us have lost touch with a number of people we
care about... simply because of differing opinions.
Bluntly put, people aren't listening to each other
anymore, leaving the door wide open for the "powers that
be" to run amok. Divided we fall, after all.
